Recently, Stanford Agora, in its first digital interview sat down with Professor Deborah Rhode to discuss her book, In the Interests of Justice (Oxford Press, 2000). Professor Rhode is the Ernest W. McFarland Professor of Law and director of the Keck Center on Legal Ethics and the Legal Profession at Stanford Law School. She is also the chair of the American Bar Association's Commission on Women in the Profession. The National Law Journal has profiled her as one of the country's fifty most influential women lawyers. In 1999, the American Bar Foundation presented her with the W.M. Keck Foundation Award for Distinguished Scholarship on Legal Ethics and Professional Responsbility, and the American Bar Association presented her with a Pro Bono Publico Award for her work on expanding public service opportunities in law schools.
